We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer (BSME, Mechanical P.E. required) in our Jacksonville, Florida office. This person will assist in the determination of the cause, origin, and extent of mechanical building system and product failures. Duties involve the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial facilities for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes. Assignments may include wet or dry facility mechanical systems investigations, vehicle system failures, and equipment or product failures. This person will also perform vehicle collision reconstruction, including commercial vehicles, conduct engineering and mechanical evaluations, and analysis of automobiles, equipment and machinery. Prepare oral and written reports that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation. Provide opinions and expert testimony. Other duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting investigations to document onsite conditions and oversee field-testing.
